Welcome To The Sadayappan Lab

Growing up in the rural town of Pattiveeranpatti, Tamilnadu, India, Dr. Sadayappan was destined to be a coconut farmer. However, with guidance from his parents, he decided to take a very different path as a scientist. Based on his fascination with plant life on the farm, he would go on to receive his undergraduate degree in Botany. Armed with innate academic ability and a thirst for more knowledge, he continued his graduate and doctoral studies, taking a long road leading, finally, to the post of Associate Professor of Cell and Molecular Physiology, at Loyola University Chicago.
